Learning and Development professionals, especially those working independently, must exhibit strong consulting skills in order to achieve success as business partners to the organisations they serve. This program demonstrates the behaviours and processes for effective training consultancy and allows participants to practice fundamental consulting competencies with tools, templates, and checklists that can be put to use immediately in their own setting.

 

Consulting Skills can be defined as "understanding the results that stakeholders desire from a process and providing insight into how efficiently and effectively those results can be achieved".

 

As experts in the field of people development, L&D professionals must demonstrate strong consulting skills in order to achieve success with their clients both internal and external. Strong consulting skills have become even more critical with increased emphasis on linking learning and performance to organisational results.

 

This Certificate programme will help you demonstrate the behaviours and processes for effective consulting, including the actions to take to achieve desired outcomes, establishing goals and managing expectations, guiding clients through the process, building credibility to influence decision-making, and overcoming obstacles and resistance.

• Completion of a two part interactive case study

Assessment:



Throughout the programme each participant will engage in a variety of practical tasks which will be assessed by the course trainer.  In addition each participant will keep a Reflective Learning Journal, highlighting their journey of discovery.  Assessment is concluded  by the completion of an interactive case study.
 

Duration:



This 'fast track' qualification is built around an intensive three day practical workshop with some self-learning materials to
support the face to face interaction.
